The Ash Drawer

I started fixing the ash drawer on my stove tonight. For some reason the holes don't line up which makes me think that someone has previously fixed it. Normally on a stove this old I would expect the ash drawer to be rusted out. This one isn't although it is clearly very old. I suspect someone has replace the original over the years.

Not to worry, I will make it fit.
