Christmas in January

My latest book order for our school library came in and it's just like Christmas. I ordered these books in September, and with a new purchase order system, a lost purchase order and a sometimes overwhelmed admin sec, they were just a bit overdue.
During library times this week, the students have been circling my desk like sharks eyeing the new books and begging me to catalog favorites, such as "Baby Mouse" and some of the more popular fiction titles. It was funny to see them so worked up over new books, and at the same time, very gratifying.
I've gotten the picture books done, and all the fiction, now I have to tackle the wall of non-fiction, including many new graphic novels and brand-new, hot off the presses-- joke books, a very popular section of my library.
