Water, Water, Everywhere

Today it rained most of the day and the wind howled. There was a short time in the morning when the sun came out and the sky was blue and I saw these puffy white clouds and thought, "Oh, if this will just hang around until I get off work". Too much to wish for. The rain came down even harder after that.

On the way home from work, I was driving down my street and I noticed a manhole with water shooting up about a foot out of 3 holes. So, I backed up the car, rolled down the window, put my camera on the "sport" setting, and took a few shots.

The subject material is a little different, but I thought the softness of the water was kind of cool. Anyway, I decided to use it; especially since I didn't have anything else. The other cool thing is that I didn't do anything to this shot, it's straight from the camera.
