At first I thought this might be a bit more demanding than the usual 'football', what with a shinty ball being so small, but they each have a centre that is clearly going to require the same degree of skill and accuracy to mark off with a neat cross!

Actually the harder part in this competition that is a regular feature in the Oban Times, is to find the required '£1 (note)' that is stipuated on the entry form. Only RBS produce such notes and as I tried to get one I discovered that 'due to lack of demand' branches do not hold stocks of them - maybe I should let the Oban Times know so they can update their systems and accept altrenative methods for payment?

Now you'll have heard about the English gent who enquired about a copy of yesterday's Times when he went into the local shop in Fort William. Shopkeeper's response: "Oh no, sorry I cannae help ye there, but I can offer you a copy of tomorrow's Oban Times"
