Cake or death....

At work today we had a Valentines charity bake sale. Lots of people made heart shaped cakes, decorated cakes with lovehearts and any other vaguely Valentine-like decoration.

Me? I just worked on the old adage that the way to someone's heart is through their stomach.

I baked Jack Daniels and Coke cupcakes (Cola in the cake mixture and JD and Cola in the frosting). Always popular among my work colleagues, and today I think they were just as successful. So what if they don't look 'Valentiney'???

This lone cupcake is the sole survivor. All the others were taken to work, and were sold. This sorry little pathetic attempt did not meet my own quality standards, so was left behind. And here he remains, uneaten, unloved....
