Heart Day

A couple of years ago, while clearing out one of my many boxes in the attic, I came across a little orange diary from 1972. As I flicked through it, I came across an entry for 14 February and it said "didn't get any valentines today cos I am ugly". How awful that I thought that only attractive people got sent valentines cards! Although, I think I was right, I did go through an ugly period around that time. Greasy skin, greasy hair, national health glasses and a bit mixed up in my head - teenage angst. But really when I think back, there are far more pressures on the teenagers now than back in my day.

I bought this ceramic heart in a shop in Perth a few weeks ago. I just liked the phrase. Did I follow my heart . . . . .??

Forgot to add that Cameron made a Valentines card at school today which he wrote on it - I love Ben from ? Aww isn't he a great big brother?
