Went on a tour round the peninsular featuring First Coast and its near neighbour Second Coast. Underestimated the distance and the lack of petrol vendors on a Sunday. Became alert to it when the range indicator showed 44 miles, and the road sign to the nearest reliable fuel source said 58. Kinlochewe closed and then Achnasheen closed down. Stopped at 15 miles range indicated to see how many miles a partially filled jerry can would get us. Seemed to pour most of it on the ground due to lack of funnel and was horrified when the indicator refused to change from 15 - within a mile it was showing 55 - phew. We finished the 80 mile detour and came out less than 10 miles from our start point, and Contin was open - my highest ever fuel bill, just under the ton, to fill tank and can.

Came home for cream of tomato soup and some left over for tomorrow's dal. Not Rancid has a theory that dal = less pongy poo, this week we test it. If I can find some blippable items I'll report back later.
