Boredom

This is the bottom of one of my cupboard doors in my kitchen.
This is what happens when you have to be out at work all week and when your dog gets bored!
I have provided her with a variety of things to chew, eat and play with, but it would seem she prefers to nibble real wood!
She had done this before and I thought we had cured the problem and that the chewing was restricted to her kennel doorway, but sadly, it seems, she objects to me having a full time job and leaving her alone all day!
Any helpful siggestions, hints and tips would be gratefully received!
