Its that time of the year again
Valentines Day approaches. The marketeers are operating at full tilt - cards, flowers, chocolates, exotic meals, etc etc.
At the considerable risk of being regarded as over-cynical, it seems we are all stuck on the Circle Line visiting each station as the year unfolds and then back round again next year: Christmas, New Year, Valentines Day, Shrove Tuesday, Easter, May Day........... All aboard, and don't mind the gap it leaves in your wallets, as the cash tills ring and the train departs for the next station. Stand clear of the doors - I spy some Easter Eggs on the shelves already.
(ps we had a family joke at Christmas time when I thought I was on safe ground challenging folks to get an easter egg at Christmas. The challenge lasted less than a day).
I don't know if we already have one but maybe a national Blip day could be introduced into the calendar? The marketeers could have a field day: chocolate cameras; candy lenses; rice paper photographs; a Blip-day card; foto-feasts etc etc.
