Tomorrow sees the start of Liverpool Discovers - a series of public art installations designed to get people out and exploring the city to learn about Liverpool's place in the world. Or something like that; there's a decent blurb on the website better than I can write here.

This one celebrates sport and was created by Faith Bebbington. She blogged the progress of the commission, which is kinda cool.

I spotted this piece going up on Friday evening - I was really pleased to see its lit up at night on one of the main routes into town.
