Hail storm!

This was the view early on this morning as I went to get the papers. In front of me was brilliant sunshine, behind, massive black clouds which eventually erupted into a brief but spectacular hail storm! Apart from that it was a relatively balmy and sunshiny day. Dug over the polytunnel, sowed some lettuce, cleared around the big pond to reveal the daffodils and hacked back a few brambles. Himself turned some of the compost bins.

Then did a spot of socialising, lots of cups of tea and chat. The canvassers are out too (election in March). A Fine Gael chap arrived escorted by a local, they both looked terrified and had little to say. I think all parties will be getting a bumpy ride!
