Elie has left the building
1. Hoovering the last of the cat hair out of the flat as Elie was scooped up and boxed and taken to her new home. Missing her company but not the asthma-like symtoms of allergy that blew round her in a cloud. It has been fun having her here. The dedication that it takes to keep and love a pet is no small thing and something I admire deeply in those who do it full time.
2. As an out and proud Corrie fan I have sometimes indulged in the treat of getting up early on a Saturday morning and i-playering the last few episodes in bed. It's not everyone's idea of fun, but then that's what guilty pleasures are all about, surely?
3. Meeting my tribe in Queens Park on a bright, crisp Saturday afternoon. My niece is a really lovely wee girl. It's a treat to be in her company and her mum is just as nice. Meeting Emma, Tam and Morgan too and watching with delight as Colin presented the two wee girls with two handmade silver pendants for their Valentine's gift. A little bit of love.
4. Heading to the pub with Emma, Tam, Morgan and Colin and having an absolute belter of a Saturday afternoon pint (or four). I love it when that happens. When chat with pals just goes on and on. It's good to know that it only gets better with a glamourous, dancing six-month-old baby in our midst.
5. Chatting with mum about our trip next week and getting booked for a spa weekend. We've been talking about it for a long time and now it's sorted and this time next week we'll sitting in luxury, massaged and relaxed, celebrating her 61st birthday in style.
