Relaxing after the walk

Fun day today - walking through the black volcanic ash (very hard work - a bit like walking on sand dunes) and seeing the ingenious means of growing grape vines in apparently inhospitable surroundings. Lovely sunny day (very windy though).

This is near to his famous monument to the peasant.

S is our walking guide - an affable, easy going Italian, who is very knowledgeable about the area. L is one of the other walkers in the group. There are only 5 walkers and we are getting on very well together.
