Fungi on grass
This enormous toadstool was on B's flat's grass. I couldn't get over its size, or how much it resembled a Yorkshire Pudding. I snapped a couple of shots of it before taking my macro lens to be fixed and then kicked it far away from Cousteau's reach.
A busy morning of lawn mowing and doing washing. It got pretty hot during the lawn mowing and I wished I had fewer layers on.
I got a text from B, telling me that he was hungry and wanted to go to the camera shop. So, I hurried myself up.
Cousteau and I went in to town. I had sushi for lunch and coffee. Both were particularly delicious as I had a free voucher and neither cost me a cent. Needless to say, I had a large coffee!
Then to the camera shop, where I discovered that my 17-85 mm lens is probably stuffed and that my Macro lens needed a bit of TLC. Man, I'm rubbish with my camera gear. B shakes his head every time something goes wrong. I guess I just like to use it. The guy in the camera shop told me that this is how I'm supposed to REALLY use a camera. It's not just an ornament, after all. I wonder if that is fuelled by the fact that they make a bit of money when things need fixing? Come to think of it, he did give me some free screen protectors because I'm such a good customer ...
I went to a bar for a quick drink with B and Rae and then drove B's sister home. Up for an early(ish) night tonight. Got to go and make my bed first though.
Man, it's hot!
Night.
From last year, and still true:
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will direct your paths.
