Illuminate Yaletown

Yaletown is one of the expensive areas of Vancouver. Very nice, very expensive and essentially out of our league. Lots of the ice hockey players live there. Apparently you can walk around and easily spot them. We however don't know them to look at, but I'm told it would be like seeing David Beckham walk around your street.

There's lots happening in Vancouver this weekend. It's the first anniversary of the Winter Olympics and there's a heap of events. It's also the Lunar New Year (see yesterday's photo).

One of the events taking place is Illuminate Yaletown. Areas of Yaletown lit up with different light art features. A lot of modern art. Some of it good, some of it bad. I guess it's all subjective.

Here's a dinosaur made out of ice in front of some lights that change colour. Don't ask - it's art.
