Two shags

I was up in Nelson today to do some shopping. The tide was out so I went to the Monaco jetty to see if there was anything interesting going on, where I found a number of shags, pied stilts and godwits. I was about to take a photo of this pied shag who was sunning herself on the sand bank, when a dog came along and scared her off. It is absolute fluke that when I snapped I got another shag in the background. It's not the clearest but at least it's entertaining with her little hopping jumps showing in the splashes in the water.
