Objet du désir

Took my new phone out of its box today for the first time. Six years ago I bought a new phone which, back then, was state-of-the-art. Not only could you phone people, you could text them too! This new phone is not a phone. It's a mini computer. It's functionality is phenomenal. I can use it as a sat nav, as a torch, as a spirit level, as a compass, as a games machine, as a radio, as a multimedia device, as a camera, to access the internet, to listen to music, to create music, to check the weather, to check my mail, to check the stock market, to find a local pub, Indian, florist, plumber and soul mate. Oh, and you can ring people.

Technology is one big awe inspiring, all encompassing tidal wave of loveliness.
