The Visitor

Spotted this Red Kite through the binoculars flying very close to the ground. He circled round a couple of times and landed on this rock which instantly made me think of a gravestone, maybe some Highlander was laid to rest here in the old days. Could it be his spirit returning for a visit.. I fitted my bigger lens and proceeded to move in as close as it would allow, unfortunately it was`nt possible to use a tripod as the bird was continually on the move, so I had to do my best hand held.. It was strange that this bird came back to this stone several times.. I must go back and check this another day...
