Wet Great Tit

Some days a random thought goes through your head and despite your better judgement you have to find out the answer. Today's was "I wonder if I can get a photo of a bird in the drizzle without ruining the camera."

I set up the camera on a tripod with a remote release and a long lens hood to keep the drizzle off the glass. I then wrapped everything in a towel so just the flash and front of the lens was uncovered.

Apparently the answer is Yes, but I wouldn't try it in anything heavier than a light drizzle.

The Sax masterclass is tomorrow so I should be spending my time more constructively but I think I have got to the stage where more practice will make me worse so it was a good distraction.
