Sovereign

Almighty God,
You are sovereign. You have reign and rule over all things. There is not a single molecule that isn't a part of your art gallery. But trusting in that sovereignty can be painful and earth-shattering. God, I pray You would give me the strength to trust even when the rain falls and that I might even be washed by the water. Continue to reveal the truth that when there is absolutely nothing we can do, You do Your greatest work. As Craig Keener said, "We pray not because we think our prayers earn God's favor, but as an expression of our trust in a Father who already knows our need and merely waits for us to express our dependence on Him." We trust in our Faithful God. We trust in You.
