Snowman

As predicted it did snow, not only just snowed but exceeded the expectations; Close to 24" of snow. Within couple of morning hours whole street was filled with 2 feets of snow.
First time in the history of Walmart, HOMEOFFICE (Head office of biggest retailer in the world Walmart) was closed today. We all were instructed in the morning not to go out but work from home (because of the road conditions & low visibility). The best thing I like about working for Walmart is they think real good about people.

My neighbor (RAJ***) forgot to carry back his laptop last night and had to go to work (at least to collect the laptop). From his kitchen window he saw cars moving on the highway and decided to start for work. He pulled his car back from garage (without cleaning the driveway) thinking he would be able to cut the soft snow. He was thinking right but didn't realize the presence of ICE at the DIP end of the drive way. Also he pulled his car back little slow so it got stuck in the ICE; All the 4 tyres were standing on top of a sheet of ICE & none of them had any traction left. He struggled enough to drive Reverse / Front but wheels were spinning freely on the axis without moving an inch backward / forward.

Went out to help him, Under the car I could see all SNOW & ICE only. Realized the use of Snow Shovel that moment but I don't have any so tried to clean some of the snow / ICE surrounding the tyres using Garden equipments.

After 10 mins of struggle neighbor gave up saying: leave it, it's not gonna come out we'll take it in as soon as this whole snow melts.
Me: WHAT ??? no lets clean little more ICE under all the 4 tyres it will come out.
RAJ***: I can't stand. It's too cold here, moreover if we fall sick, it's not worth putting that much of effort, we'll wait for snow to melt.
Me: I've AAA membership, if you say I'll call them, they'll come and take this car out for us.
RAJ***: No they won't be able to come too, it's too much of snow here.
Me: No, they'll have vehicle with 4Wheel Drive, they can come.
RAJ***: hmm I don't need car for anything as of now.. we'll wait for snow to melt
Me: You sure ???
RAJ***: Yea, appreciate your effort, let's have a cup of hot tea.
Me: Okie that will do.

Me: You know what.. We are expecting more snow tonight and if this car stays like this in the middle of the road, first thing, it may cause accident and second by tomorrow it will be all frozen in the ICE. You'll have to TOTAL (total loss) the car if water goes inside the engine.
RAJ***: What to do ??

Someone knocks the door...

Another 2 Neighbors saw us struggling and when we came inside, They got out with the Snow Shovel and started cleaning the snow.
RAJ***: Oh what are they doing...
Me: They are doing the right thing. Lets do it :D com'on

It took us 15 - 20 mins to clean SNOW around the car and then little more to break the ice under the tyres.. little bit of hush hush, little bit of pull push and car started moving at last... little more effort and HURRAY it's out of ICE and finally got parked in the Garage back.

Didn't want to have similar problem repeated with me. Also got a tweet from Gym that it'll remain close for today, so took the advantage of availability of Snow Shovel and cleaned my driveway. It was first shoveling experience. and made me sweat even in the frosty day.

In the evening NEIGHBOR's daughter & her mom made this snowman. Thought of clicking a colorful creation resting in all snow white sheet.
