another day, another bath....

I have an excuse, another day another trip to the JR in Oxford for Alfies follow up appointment with ENT.

He is going to have to have surgery to remove his tonsils and possibly his adenoids. His breathing is just too compromised and after 3 1/2 months of tonsilitis, 3 lots of anti biotics and now 4 weeks solid of anti biotics with a pre chaser of steroids his tonsils are still very swollen if not quite as inflamed.

Although am really pleased they are taking action to help him I was still having nightmares all night last night at the prospect of him being in. We should find a hospital stay a piece of cake with having literally lived there for 8 weeks when he was tiny (we had 2 hours at home in all that time to meet his support team) it still terrifies me to have an overnight stay. Some of it was so awful, not knowing what was happening when they couldn't make a diagnosis. I can remember going into a ward sisters office in floods convinced we were going to lose him.

Oddly the 1st time I have seen that sister since we left that ward was last week when we went up for his scan.

Rather tired and shell shocked but happy to have progress. So forgive the repetative nature of the photo, I have a good excuse.
