Power cut

I know this is a rubbish photo but when I got back from picking the kids up from kayaking, the house was in total darkness. No computer to upload my photos so the iPhone camera will have to do.
The neighbours have a power cut too but everyone else on the street is ok. I don't understand electricity enough to work out why only two houses could be affected.
I've packed the kids off to bed with their camping head torches. They're too excited to go to sleep. I can hear them all singing upstairs.
I guess I'll just read my book by candlelight and wait for the engineer.
