Signs Of Spring

The weather's sunny blip of yesterday was clearly a one-off. Just as well I took the opportunity to exploit it.

Today I have been laying ethernet cable from the kitchen to the front bedroom to the study, from whence it will descend to the living room and connect to my Freesat box, so that I can watch catch-up TV via the internet on my television. I'm a twenty-first century guy.

This is a dwarf iris (iris reticulata Gordon, I reckon), growing on the shared driveway in a border outside Turnpike Cottage next door.
