What's your favourite element?

Not too sure myself but when pushed I'd go for something attractive and functional like titanium.

Or maybe something easily worked like copper?

Carbon I suppose is a handy element for us organic lifeforms but combined with oxygen or hydrogen it's bringing about methane and carbon dioxide and all our global warming.

And why favour metals over non metals (yes, I know carbon is a non metal!). What about neon or helium.

Oxygen comes in fairly handy.

Oh, which one to choose?

Maybe they're all great?

I think the periodic table is a real work of art.

Here, a pupils' mobile is hanging next to my big periodic table - they are clearly halogen fans!
