Normally we have a daily ferry in from Aberdeen but at this time of year there is a drydock timetable where one of the two Shetland boats and the Orkney Pentland Firth boat are out of service for its annual inspection. Looks like the annual inspection is in Shetland as the Hrossey is tied up in Lerwick at the moment. The funnel of her sister ship, Hjaltland, can just be seen in the right background. Just not possible to get a shot of them both without getting my feet wet! This was taken at mid-day and you can tell it was dark by the brightness of the lights on all the boats.
