Pence and buttons...

As a university student you come to learn that every little really does help - although collecting my 1, 2 and 5 pence pieces in a money box is something I've done for a while. Whilst at uni, I do so in a "Grandessa four fruits preserve" jam jar :-P There are a few random buttons inside the jar too, just to add a dash of colour really.

I played around on iPhoto with this particular snapshot and found the antique colouring worked the best - giving an almost authentic feel to a rather simple item.
