Chinese New Years Parade
Happy New Years!
Sunday I went into Chicago to China Town to shoot the New Years parade. I went with my photog friend Angela. We had Dim Sum at The Phoenix restaurant for lunch just before the parade started. I've never had Dim Sum before...but it was well worth the wait. I have no idea what I was served...I dont speak Chinese. And I found it quite humorous that every time I looked like I didnt understand....the waitress would say it again LOUDER. hahaha!
As if that would help. :)
After lunch we found a nice spot to shoot from and waited. The snow started coming down...big huge snowflakes. I almost couldnt see across the street. My camera is not waterproof so I tried to keep it under my jacket as much as possible. I always seem to shoot in these less than optimal environments.
Anyway, I have some great pictures...although most are obscured by large snowflakes. I wanted to post the one that best fit the excitement of the occasion. These gentlemen looked like they were having a great time.
And I sure had a great time too!
This weekend we do not have an outing scheduled for the photography club. But, we do have an independent project planned...."Winter Macro". Should be interesting.
Have a great week!
