Let's Hop The Atlantic

Quinto (you'll have to turn your head...)

Although this is uploaded for Saturday, it was actually Friday night - so I will describe Friday.

So, Friday I went to my English tutorial on essay writing skills, had lunch with Saira, which was really nice. Reminiscing about Havergal (she was there at the same time as me when I went on exchange) and her year last year as a Frye Vic One student. Then another wonderful Nick Mount lecture, on 'Open' and its connection to Newfoundland, its content, form and style (I love her expression - unlike anything else I've ever read). He started off the lecture by boogie-ing around onstage to a song he was playing. I requested a song for next week, so we'll see. I love that he has a soundtrack relevant to the course material for his class. What a dude.

In the evening Blaire left for the weekend to London, Ontario, for a choir tour. I had a nice group of people round in the evening to drink and be merry before we left to go to (unplanned) the Hogwarts Pub Night, which was in Old Vic and therefore rather shit, and then on to a friend of some of theirs. Met a few people, including a guy whose best friend is from Edinburgh and lives in Toronto. Why does everyone else know British people but I never ever come across any?! It would feel oddly comforting to come across one.

Anyway, went to MacDonalds (i didn't eat anything yuck) and watched drunk people roll joints inside with no shame and then chatted in my room for far too long into the night/morning.
