Kingdipper

Visited some beautiful woods today which run past the River Walkham, owned by Devon County Council & part of Drake's Trail

We saw a pair of roe deer, too quick for a photo, but a wonderful sight & this pretty tame dipper, having a great time on the stones in the water. I've seen many dippers on previous occasions but never this close & for a long time, usually they're under the water when they see you & are gone, but this one stayed! Not the best photo, wrong camera, but not bad considering it was pouring with rain!

Alas no kingfisher, but no matter, hence the title! :)
