Railtrack

We walked along the old railway track which is 11 miles long and named after George Hudson the Railway King. It runs between Market Weighton and Beverley and was opened in 1865. I can just imagine the steam trains that thundered down this track, this was modern technology of the day. But now sadly it is mainly dog walkers who steam along the track as it was closed by Dr Beeching in 1965. The railways loss but the ramblers gain
