Deer and Wolves Dancing with Shadows
The deer dancer above the three kachinas was made by a local Corrales artist. Drawing and photography is not permitted during Indian dances. She was watching this Pueblo deer dance and every so often the artist retreated to the outhouse where she drew what she had seen from memory. She then went into her studio and rendered the drawing in a clay relief framed by raw wood.
