Christchurch Mosque

The Christchurch Mosque is located on the edge of South Hagley Park. The first Muslims in New Zealand were Chinese (muslim) golddiggers working in the Dunstan gold fields of Otago in the 1870's. Today's Muslims come from large number of different ethnic groups.
