Having fun with the Mayor

Twas Feast Day today in St Ives.

As well as the throwing of the silver ball & distribution of pennies to the kids, there is a procession through town with dancing & all that goes with it, including the Mayor & her husband.

Yvonne the Mayor is an old friend & is good fun as you can tell.

The greenery on her hat is not mould, but a reminder of the Ivy leaf which, according to legend, St Eia floated to St Ives on.
