Ice Ribbon Cutting

We attended the Blue Mountain Ski Resort Winter Festival today. To celebrate the opening of the expansion of the Summit Lodge they had an ice ribbon cutting ceremony - complete with chainsaw. From left to right is Doyle Heffley PA House of Representatives, Barbara Green co-owner, sorry - can't remember and David G. Argall State Senator. In the background were the ski resorts mascots - snow leporad and beaver. And a Philadelphia Mummers Band provided the music.

Blue Mountain has a summit elevation of 1,540 feet (470 m) and vertical elevation change of 1,082 ft (330 m), the biggest vertical drop of any ski resort in Pennsylvania.
