ruffled petal...

...appearing on a plant i thought for sure would be done for by the time i got back home. but surprise, surprise... here it was waiting - just for me... a fresh petal - a bit of color... a lovely spurt of late blooming, or maybe early blooming if you will to welcome me. either way, i'll take it.

so nice to be home... get back to my own routine. gracie is curled next me after meowing almost non-stop greetings last night... she was too funny - couldn't get close enough and if i moved, thought i was leaving again... poor thing. so nice to be loved...

fresh snow on the ground this morning but only a few inches... nothing like the blizzard in chicago i just came from so dance of joy for small blessings...
