Ethie Castle
Matthew and I arrived at Ethie Castle last night and enjoyed a fab three course meal in-front of the roaring fire with excellent wine and excellent company. This is the third time we have visited the 13th Century castle and feel completely at home now despite all the ghost stories. The castle is full of history and every secret staircase reveals a different room with its own stories. Its a fascinating place. This blip was taken in the hall way near the main kitchen where a series of bells were used for the family living there to get the attention of their servants. There is a lovely family living there now who are very welcoming, its exciting to feel part of a piece of Scottish history.
My song of today has been Glee's version of REM's 'Loosing my religion'
