Roly's Life

By Roly

I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok...

It started off wild and windy this morning - so I dragged Mum, Dad and the kids down to Maenporth as Mum and Dad had not been. The children were oblivious to the weather and had immersed themselves in the water within minutes of arriving.

Fortunately I know my children well so a quick change of clothes, coffee and cake for us and ice cream for them later, we set off for the Maritime Museum as Mum and Dad had never been there either. We killed a couple of hours most successfully and came home again, by which time the sun was shining.

For the past few months weeks I have been cutting a tree down branch by branch. This afternoon I decided that method was too slow and went for the just cut the bloody thing down approach.

As in all things it is vital to have the proper tools for the job, so armed with Ben's slightly rusty carpenter's hand saw and the kids' skipping ropes tied together to guide the tree, I just cut the bloody thing down!

I have to confess that I have not taken any photos today and have had to rely on Mum snapping away at the beach and Dad snapping away at his Lumberjack daughter! I did however take this one yesterday.
