Here's one I made earlier

Take one boring cork pin board
Remove its frame,
Slice the cork board to fit the frame you bought yesterday,
Stick fabric to the cork using spray mount (MESSY!)
Slot the new fabric covered pin board into the new frame
Add pins

ta da! a new home for your tangled earrings!
