Beinn Sgulaird
This year's wedding anniversary hillwalk found us on the isolated Munro of Beinn Sgulaird in Appin. Due to time contraints (kick off in the rugby at 5pm) I chose a short steep route onto the hill. It was unforgiving!
The picture shows Mrs ABM heading off the small top of Stob Gaibhre about to start the final climb up to the top of the Munro. There was a bit of a snow shower at the summit to obscure our view, but as we descended through the cloud the panorama of the western seaboard became visible.
We stayed at a very posh hotel in Port Appin and had some great food.
