Uncertain Emotions

Dim Sum?

So - back to a bit of a boring blip after yesterday's one (which just squeaked onto the spotlight :-)

Today I'd planned a bit of pottering, some paperwork and some film-watching. But last night some friends rang to see if I fancied going to the Chinese New Year event in town.

Very odd - even by my standards, it was odd. But we looked round the stalls, watched traditional Chinese activities such as: lion dancing, tai-chi, belly dancing, martial arts..... Yes, you read that correctly - belly dancing, that well-known Chinese invention. Like I said - it was odd.

One of the most odd bits was finding out that we have a High Sheriff. And here he is, being persuaded to try some dubious looking dim sum that had been heated in a microwave lurking amidst the piles of boxes. We opted to give those a miss and went to a nearby Chinese restaurant instead.

Sub-Sunday! This week it has to be Ladylala for her truly genius series of adverts for Nottingham that combine grim with humour.
