Christina
I had the chance to go to a ceilidh last night with Helena and some friends. But the aftermath of yesterdays endeavours, a fine meal followed by a few bevvies and then Lesley's delivery of her two wonderful home-made birthday cakes for Helena meant that I was incapable of the likely extreme exertions from dancing. Instead I watched Match of the Day and nodded off in front of the telly! Sad or not?
Christina came to stay on Friday. She is Helena's niece and is studying at the Central and St. Martins art college in London. She had a busy day on Saturday, helping Helena buy some seed potatoes at the Potato Day market, followed by supporting the events at Stroud Library, whilst I was running around Gloucestershire's other libraries with Marcus. Then she braved the ceilidh, where she was forced to dance with strangers within minutes of arriving. She survived and they all reported a good night was had.
We all had a long lie in this morning and then went for a quick lunchtime drink at our local. I persuaded Christina that I wanted a photograph of her for my Blip today, so I rattled off some lovely pictures of her in the Crown and Sceptre. But this picture taken at the station just before boarding her train back to London is my favourite. Thank you Christina for posing, but also for coming to brighten our weekend and for being such fun. Come back soon?

I have added some of yesterday's pics to this Flickr account
