Mom's Birthday

Dan and I went up to his parents' house for the New Year celebration. In Vietnamese, I greeted his family with "Chuc Mung Nam Moi!" We ate a late lunch with 20+ members of the family and played board games. Afterwards we headed back to my place for my mom's birthday. We ate dinner at Red Lobster with my parents, Allie and Xuan. The waiters sang "Happy Birthday" and wished her all the best. We came back home to find the power out so we sat around candles talking and waiting for the electricity to come back on.
