Still entranced

After yesterday's HMS Belfast blip, here's another one. I like the menacing angle of the ship and I'm proud that it's not blurry. I've discovered that it's very difficult to take a shot of anything when you're on a boat without a blur happening.

I started the day by taking out my full quota of library books in support of the national library protest day today. The library was as busy with kids as it normally is. There were more adults there than I've seen for a while, which can only be a good thing. Let's hope the protests around the country have a positive affect. My problem is that I wish to read all the books I took out (I couldn't choose them at random - it's a careful selection). So, I might have my head stuck in several books for the foreseeable future. That, also, is not a bad thing.

I then headed off with Fred on a bicycle adventure by the various threatened libraries of Lewisham (there are five threatened with closure) to Greenwich, where we cycled up to the Dome. We spontaneously boarded a Thames Clipper, which was fab! I really recommend anyone visiting London to not bother with the tourist boats and take a Thames Clipper at dusk from the Dome to the west of the city. It was wonderful to see the city skyscrapers light up and also be able to peer (nose) into the riverside apartments that had their lights on. Some people have amazing homes.
