Me, Myself and Catherine

Goodbye Mustique

From Mustique to Barbados, via Canouan.

I had a very peculiar experience as our little Twin Otter started her descent into Grantley Adams. Sat on the right hand side of the plane, as I gazed through the window at the crystal clear waters and lush sun drenched landscape over the pastel coloured roofs of Bridgetown, I became disconcertingly aware the there was quite a bit of turbulence and that we were being severely buffeted. This seemed odd. I turned to look out of the left side of the aircraft to see that the landscape completely obscured by a torrential downpour, rain lashing violently at the windows. How strange that our flight path was directly at the centre. And all credit to the pilots for landing so very smoothly under the circumstances.
