When is there a "b" in snowdrop?

Today!

We went to Montacute House today. The weather was fairly kind, if a bit breezey, but fear of more stormy weather kept the crowds away and it was almost like having the place to ourselves.

Out of the 300 or so photos we took between us, I chose this one as I've never seen a bee in a snowdrop in all my 44 years. We lay on the grass watching/photographing them for a little while, with the sweet fragrance of the snowdrops wafting about on the breeze.

Oh, and I want a pudding house! There are 2 of them in the garden. They are so called as guests would 'retire' to these to enjoy their puddings following a meal in the main dining room in Tudor and Stuart times. This would give the servants of the house the opportunity to clear and prepare the dining room for the after-dinner entertainment. I had it in mind to Blip one, til I saw the bees.

We then climbed up St Michaels Hill and then up to the top of the tower there - now THAT was windy!
