Pizzaday aka Saturday
Well, it's taken a little longer than it should have, due to a computer virus, a lack of inspiration virus and a being stupid virus (setting the camera's date wrongly after charging the battery!) but finally I have reached my 100th Blip.
To be honest, I'm quite surprised to have lasted this long. Before I joined Blipfoto I'd never attempted to keep any kind of diary or journal before, I could never really see the point. I also have a bit of an attention span problem - I'm very easily distracted and tend to become extremely interested in something for a little while but then quickly get bored and let my focus fall elsewhere. The fact that I'm still here and attempting to post an entry every day is testament to the addictive quality of Blip. It is also thanks to a lot wonderfully supportive and encouraging comments I have received from members of the Blip community and my other friends who have been following my journal through Facebook or email updates.
Although I'm finding it increasingly difficult to find new things to snap everyday, I fully intend to continue my journal as it has definitely opened my eyes to details and views that I had not noticed before. I hope that, given time, I'll become a better snapper and maybe, if I wish hard enough, I'll eventually get some better equipment than my little 4mp point and shoot kodak!
When I first started Blip, I had time to browse and comment on other people's journals to my heart's content but these days I seem to just about manage to upload an image, write a little bit about it and there my relationship ends. So, my 100th Blip resolution is to try and make more time to browse other journals and comment on them.
Nearly forgot - Pizzaday! A very appropriate image for me as it combines two of my favourite things, both of which I'd like to have more time to do. Cooking and snapping. Homemade pizza - my Saturday treat and for those of you who remember, yes Tallulah was sitting at my feet giving me this look the whole time I was eating it.
