Work is so exhausting at the moment that I thought a little change of scenery might help. So I just went on to the Metropolitan line and got off at the last stop which is Amersham. The old part of Amersham is picture book pretty with an incredibly well conserved mainroad. No new buildings as far as I could detect. And of course if you feel like walking there is the Chilterns. Highly recommended, and oh yes you might come across the odd wedding in town ...
