What I Desire
Started the day with a bit of Zumba - it certainly kick starts your morning. Then home shower and straight off out to the allotment. That incinerator bin has been haunting me since I bought it, all shiny and new, just begging for Man's Red Fire.
My brother-in-law has been equally excited it would seem. It's the B.B. in him that makes him want to play with fire. Off we went. Two flasks, two boxes of matches and one very large bag of materials to burn.
I can't tell you how successful it was. Both of us enjoyed ourselves beyond belief - especially when you consider there is an average age of around 50. The gadgetry (a term my brother-in-law enjoys) surrounding fire and burning was all supplied by the allotment.
'I need a metal prong to prod it with' says he
'nae bother, just wheek that netting support oot and Boab's yer uncle.'
Of course I was meant to take my camera to capture the moment of baptisement, but in my excitement I forgot.
The rest of the day was taken up by helping my girl collect and deliver her friend's birthday present of two fish and a tank. Now that may sound easy - believe me it is not - not if you do it properly.
So I had to settle for this shot of Man's Red Candle kinda Fire. It did give me the chance to use my new found shutter speed knowledge. So all is not lost.
For the record, my boy and troup arrived safely around 3.45am UK time and should have spent the day ski-ing happily. My girl is off celebrating the end of her exams. Time alone with my No.1 Boy, how nice.
