Parklife

In my city (Gwangju), they don't have a lot of open park spaces. There aren't many green or areas with lots of trees. Birds are few and far between. It's one of the things that I found hard to adjust to initially.

At the weekends (or this week, during the week as it's a national holiday for the new year), kids gather in car parks. There are vans filled with bicycles and go-karts for hire. I was walking through a supermarket car park yesterday when I encountered dozens of children, chaperoned by their parents.

It's a strange set up, but people must make do with whatever they have! I thought it was interesting, and really liked the colours in this shot
